One-day courses are a valuable way for old students, who are trying to maintain their sila, to deepen their practice. New students, ie those who have not done a 10-day course with SN Goenka or one of his assistants cannot be accepted on a one-day course.

The one-day course timetable is:

8:45-9:00 am ----------------Arrive/Registration
9:00 am     ----------------ANAPANA session followed by meditation
11:00 am    ----------------VIPASSANA session
12:00-1:00 pm ---------------Lunch break
                              (If an assistant teacher is present, you may have an interview at 12:30 pm)
1:00-2:00 pm --------------  Meditation
2:00-3:00 pm ----------------Group sitting
3:00-3:40 pm ----------------Meditation
3:40-4:00 pm ----------------METTA session
4:00-4:30 pm ----------------Noble silence ends, afternoon tea
4:30-5:00 pm ----------------Discourse
5:00 pm ---------------------Course ends

Noble silence and all the other rules of a 10-day course are followed; please reread the Code of Discipline.

What to bring?

Food for your own vegetarian lunch (tea is provided)

The course is held at Dhamma Bhumi, in the new hall next to the office (hall 3). Please enter via the office entrance as there will be a course in progress at Dhamma Bhumi.

Please bring your own vegetarian lunch. It assists us greatly if you can pre-register for this course, by clicking on the Next button at the bottom of this page and fill in the questions asked.
